Tucker Hewes founded Hewes Communications in 1993 as a firm that specializes in media relations for the investment management industry. He has over 35 years of experience working in business and financial public relations and has represented some of the top asset managers and thought-leaders in the investment community. He has lectured on media issues at several universities and spoken at the Schwab Institutional Conference and other industry events. Tucker was selected as The Most Respected Public Relations Executive in the country in the “2014 Survey of Financial Journalists”, conducted by The Society for Advancing Business Editing and Writing (SABEW).

From 1978-1985, Tucker was the producer of “Sports Tuesday,” a weekly cable television broadcast on Manhattan Cable. He has interviewed many top athletes such as Muhammad Ali, Larry Bird, Magic Johnson, John McEnroe, Cal Ripkin, Reggie Jackson, and many others. He won the press tournament at the U.S. Open in 1985. It was his only win at a major tournament.

Tucker owns one of the world’s largest collections of Keith Haring subway drawings and has loaned his drawings to museums and galleries in Tokyo, Glascow and Canton, Ohio. His extensive 1984 interview with Keith Haring took place at the artist’s studio and in the New York subways and was included in, “East Village Artists 1984,” which was shown at University of California, Santa Barbara in 1984. Other interviews include artists Grandmaster Flash, Rammelzee, Kenny Scharf, Johnny Sex, Joe Overstreet, Elaine De Kooning, and many others.

Hewes graduated from graduated from Connecticut College with a B.A. in English.
